Q. How do I add people and dates?
A. Sometimes the need will arise for you to manually add a person rather than uploading a GEDCOM file (see GEDCOM instructions help file). To do this, you first need to be logged into the tree. Once you've done that, visit the first page of your tree (your website address) and look in the upper right corner where the log-in link usually is. You should see something that looks like the following:

You are logged in as 'admin'
home | logout | preferences
add a new person

Click that add a new person link and you're good to go!
All of the fields on the next page should be self explanatory. Be sure to enter in the person's name as FirstName LastName as the script will take the last word in that spot and make that the person's last name.

Note: it is also always easier to add a child after the parents have been created, if possible, as on every edit page there will be drop down lists for the parents. Select the parents for the person you are entering and any siblings will automatically be linked to their page.
